A recent addition to United's fleet, the Boeing 777-300ER is United's first aircraft featuring their Polaris product.
Polaris is a premium Business Class product.
United chose to outfit its widebody fleet with a custom-designed, exclusive-to-United, open suite style seat, rather than select an option already in the marketplace.
Designed in partnership with Acumen Design Associates and PriestmanGoode and manufactured by Zodiac Seats United Kingdom, each Polaris seat will bajar gratis slot 777 direct access to the aisle, 180-degree flat-bed recline and up to 6 foot 6 inches of bed space.
The 777-300ER has 60 Polaris seats.
Economy Plus is offered on this aircraft type.
Economy Plus is not a separate class of service but is standard Economy with up to 5 inches of extra legroom.
These seats are located nearer to the front of the aircraft and passengers in this section will be served first.
Charges for these seats will depend on routing and may be purchased at the of booking or check-in.
The 777-300ER has 102 Economy Plus seats.
Economy Class includes 204 standard Economy Class seats.
My first time to try United's new Premium Economy seats.
I had previously had great experiences with this class of service on Lufthansa and Air Canada, so I was excited that United was now offering this option.
It is so difficult flying economy on long international flights over 10 hoursbut the price of business class is just too much.
This appears to be the happy medium.
The positive is that there is considerably more legroom and width than economy or economy plus.
It also has leg supports, a foot rest and reclines more than the lower level options.
But after flying an 11 hour flight from London to San Francisco, I was surprised at the careless implementation by United.
First of all, the arm rest on the aisle would not support my weight.
The arm rest apparently is supposed to lower, but I could not use it to lean on when getting out of my seat or it would collapse.
Does not speak well to the construction of these seats given that they are brand new.
While the extra space is definitely appreciated and I would select this class of seat againthere were other problems.
Seat is too deep.
I'm a medium height male 5'9" but my butt could not reach the seat back, which meant that I had bad seating posture for the entire trip, which is not good for the back.
While the recline is better, it is still a little shy of affording a decent sleep.
The headphone and outlet are very inconveniently located under and at the back of the inside armrest, making it impossible to see and use easily.
The food was the same as economy, though alcoholic beverages were free.
Service was no different than economy.
Since it was a daytime flight, I did not avail myself.
It does come with a little comfort kit lip balm, eye mask, toothbrush and paste, socks, ear plugs.
Overall, an improvement on economy that I will use in the future, but clearly done on the cheap and the lowest quality for this class of service among the airlines I have tried.
Bulkhead row so large footwell and forward-facing seat.
However, just in front of the pax svc area is the aft galley for biz class.
Another small detail abt sitting in aft cabin is Economy pax board thru door 2L which is aft of the fwd biz cabin.
So by being in row 9, you have ppl walking by ur seat for 30 min as they board.
Fwd biz cabin is much more tranquil.
Small footwell and weird angle.
Only sit in odd numbered rows with seats facing forward.
I'm 6' 3" and I didn't come close to fitting in this seat.
My recommendation is to only select forward-facing seats unless you're 5' 10" or under.
Huge foot wells and isolated from aisles.
Same with row 9.
The top of the middle seats in row 1 is no longer used for food.
They put out pajamas and seat comforters.
Wear your ear plugs regardless for uninterrupted travel.
There are 2 bathrooms by door 1Left.
No bathrooms by door 1Right.
Because of seat configuration i.
Row 9 is awesome too visual inspection only.
Also, the 773 has optional air vents at ea seat; unlike the 772 where you will almost certainly burn up throughout the night if you attempt to use the bedding.
The overhead bin space at seat 9A was used by the FAs.
They were constantly in that bin during the long flight.
Not a big deal, but you may wanna pick the other side of the plane 9L.
I sat in 1D.

Your feet touch the footwell back wall and the top of your head touches the back wall of the seating area.
Good for shorter flights where you want to see out the window and relax, but not ideal for long-haul sleeping.
No width in the seat due to tv screen in the arm rest.
No window, no place to store your carry on items.
All 3 seats in this row have 1 magazine holder to put their stuff.
It is an exit row and lots of leg room though.
Dont waste your money on this seat fir a 10 hour ride.
Seat is a basic economy seat.
But that's not what I am writing about.
Even though United lists the aircraft as 777-300ER, this seat map does not match the aircraft scheduled for UA79, EWR-NRT.
It was interesting to note the number of statements saying they "wouldn't fly this aircraft again".
I didn't choose this aircraft but United changed the aircraft from a 200 to a 300 without notice and they also changed my seat location.
I have used this flight 40 plus times over the years but United seem to have reached an all time low with this aircraft and their service.
I really have no idea what United was thinking about when they change into this Polaris product.
They have cut all the windows!
Unless you are on a window seat which is only the odd-numbered seats by the windows you will not see anything when you fly.
This is the most claustrophobic arrangement I have ever seen, economy class is better by comparison.
Flew from FRA-SFO with my wife in seat 1D, we had the center seats.
Plus: the bigger footwell is really nice for a guy over 6' I am 6'3" as the other rows have pointy footwells that cramp your feet together and make sleep near impossible.
Big irritant: the switch to activate the center privacy panel is located right where your elbow rests, so I must have accidentally triggered it at least 15 times during the flight.
Very absolutely www 777 slot something, poor design.
United needs to fix this.
I avoid 3-4-3 when possible but given how cheap this flight was, I decided to do it.
The centre galley gives the set of 3 seats a spacious feel.
The exit door is perfect for resting your legs on.
Seat did not feel super tight itself and was better than other 3-4-3 777 flights I have taken, however the completely full cabin did feel tight.
Plane was only a year old, and I like the farm-style sink basin in the lavs; water does not slot 777 at ua everywhere.
All in all, about as tolerable as you can get for 3-4-3 economy.
I could manage another 12 hour flight in that seat.
I‘d really like to know what the designers of this super awkward Polaris configuration were thinking?
Have they been high on something or were they just trying to squeeze as many biz passengers as possible into the 777-300?
It's all about bending around constantly.
Hence after 12 hours sitting in it one feels completely „twisted“ and should be rewarded with a gift card for a chiropractor or at a least a massage.
Pheeew and the food, better not to even talk about it.
Flight FRA - SFO was on time.
And what I kind of liked were the very grumpy, sometimes friendly old-school flight attendants.
Unfortunately that‘s not enough.
All in all a pretty poor business class product.
Because 24J is next to the lavatory, and because there is no under-the-seat storage, i found that people step on my feet a lot while waiting in line for the lavatory or otherwise congregating there.
Having traveled many times on UA 48 until this new layout - I hoped this would be a good one.
But unfortunately it is bad.
Your feet goes into the cubby hole just like the prev config https://games-deposit-bonus.website/777-slots/coral-vegas-codes.html this time you have the chunky tray table right above that space between the monitor and cubby hole - its a good few inches and you cannot move your legs as there is limited space above your legs.
The seat is less comfortable too and so is the reclined position.
You have to wear a seat belt and a harness belt during take off and landing yes, they come around to make sure you have both on!
At the end of a 13.
As much as I didn't like the old config it was way more comfortable than the new one.
Not a great seat in Polaris class - right next to lavatory you hear every flush and you can see the galley from your seat - the flight attendants seem to spend hours banging around in there, which is very noisy.
If you like sleep, move to another row.
I don't have a lot of experience on international business class flights, but this was by far the best experience so far.
My husband and I had the middle two seats--9D and G.
We lowered the barrier between us, and I felt like we had our own private room.
Being near the galley and bathrooms was not a problem as the seats are situated for privacy; I could not see other passengers unless I leaned forward or got up from the seat.
The flat bed was comfortable we requested the mattress covers which definitely helped.
I liked the little closed cabinet for storing my glasses and the amenities bag.
Also, the business class bathroom was actually large enough to move around comfortably.
Overall, very nice flight.
I just make sure to bring an extra sweater but as others have indicated, with the 10 seat configuration, all of the seats are narrower and the exit row seats are particularly narrow.
The middle seats in business have partitions that can be pushed down if you are traveling with someone.
First time in this new Polaris seat.
I 'won' the upgrade on a Global Premier Upgrade with my 1K status on M-class fare.
I was hoping for review info on the desk space for my laptop, to work inflight.
Didn't find it ahead of time, but here's what I observed.
The tray table is on a horizontal slide and hides under the screen when not in use.
It folds front-back rather than side-side.
Folded, it's just about the same size as a laptop.
Unfolded it's spacious, leaving lots of room for your wrists to be on the 'desk'.
Sliding front-back is also very convenient because you can just slide it forward - out of your way, to stand up or rearrange yourself.
The rest of the mini-cabin matches other descriptions.
I enjoyed the 13 hours.
Good seat because you have additional legroom into Business Class BUT the entire new seating at UNITED with a 3-4-3 seating in Economy Class is a disaster in terms of comfort.
The seats are so narrow that you always feel your neighbour.
Shoulder to shoulder, no escape.
Beware of those planes on the UNITED fleet.
That is against basic human rights in my eyes!
I really liked this seat due to the extra room in the footwell.
It is like this for all the bulkhead seats - rows 1 and 9.
This was my first time on the 77W.
Coach looked horrendous but Polaris was great.
I was on a daytime flight.
I would not choose 1A for a red eye as it is close to the galley and the FAs do congregate in the front galley during the flight.
However, for any daytime flight I would choose this seat.
Another issue is that the people in the middle seats in row 1 need to use the overhead bin above your seat as they have no room above theirs as the sleeping quarters for the crew is above the middle seats in rows 1 and 2.
I also thought the middle seats in rows 1 and 9 looked good even if I did not know the other person as the privacy barrier would provide sufficient privacy.
On any daytime flight I would choose 1A if given a choice.
This seat does not recline at all.
Cushioned headrests are at a height that may be comfortable for a tall person, but for a person between 5'5" to 5'8" the headrest pushes your head forward at an awkward angle This seat does not recline at all.
Cushioned headrests are at a height that may be comfortable for a tall person, but for a person between 5'5" to 5'8" the headrest pushes your head forward at an awkward angle You MUST read the reviews if you plan to fly this plane 777-300ER.
If you're flying bus.
But for EVERYONE else on this flight, it is plane torture!
United changed the plane from 9 seats across to 10 seats across.
Did they lower the price?
Seats are 17" wide, down from 18.
Seat is just too narrow for any reasonable comfort.
Makes for HORRIBLE flight.
And if you take a bulkhead seat, your seat is even narrower, slot 777 at ua the tray is in the armrest.
Someone needs to give the message to UNITED to fix this.
Or people need to stop flying these planes.
You just can't sit for more than 2 hours in a seat like this.
How gullible they must think we are to fall for this.
Pay good money and get a HORRIBLE seat, for 10-12 hours!
And don't try to walk down the aisles to stretch your legs on these planes.
They took inches off the aisle as well.
It's the worst flight I have ever been on, and would never fly on this again.
We need to get the message to United somehow as to how awful this is, and that's the only way to hopefully get it to changed back.
Don't say you haven't been warned.
Unless you fly business, this if sheer torture.
We HAVE to get this message to them somehow.
Not sure how to do that!
The color code for this sear should be yellow or red.
Although the seat has a little more leg room vecause of the bulkhead, tgis small advantage is more than negated by the constant traffic of people bumping into your feet, leg, shoulder and body.
The sear mies essentially in the middle of the aisle coming from the polaris class in front.
No matter how you try to place it, your feet and knee are an obstacle to anyone or anything coming down the aisle.
I have the bruises to prove it.
This seat is also narrower than an economy seat.
That means, it is narrower than the minimum width of an adult body: you simply do not fit facing forward, and shoulders spread out into the aisle and your neighbor's space.
Perhaps the worst Economy Pkus seat in the plane, joibtly with its twin on the other side 19H.
The 3-4-3 seat layout is awful.
Seats are too narrow, there's no way to avoid your neighbor's arms or shoulders.
My aisle seat was constantly being bumped by flight attendants, food carts or other passengers.
No way to sleep on a 12-hour transatlantic flight.
I would avoid United's 777-300 exonomy class.
The new 3-4-3 configuration in economy is awful, even in Economy Plus.
I'm 5'10" but a very skinny 140 pound guy, yet even I find the new ultra-narrow seats incredibly cramped, and it's almost impossible to avoid having neighbor's elbow and shoulder spilling over onto me.
Really a nightmare on long NRT-EWR flight.
And because this is an exit row with in-seat monitors, they are even narrower than regular seats.
Phew, where to begin.
This is a horrible plane.
The flight itself was ok and safe, thankfully, but the seats are an absolute nightmare.
Let me start by saying, YES I am a PLUS SIZED WOMAN.
I realize there are many people who would comment and say "lose weight and the seat is fine" but for those of us without that immediate choice, and you need to take a flight, here's the deal.
I was originally in a middle regular economy seat and upgraded to economy plus.
After looking at the original seats when boarding, and speaking with a colleague who was in one, I realized I made the right choice by upgrading, but I was still in a tough place.
The extra legroom in economy was a godsend, but my arms were still just click for source the seats of the passengers next to me.
My neighbor who was smaller also had trouble with her table being too close.
So, I chose to not have either meal for the overnight flight which was ok, but embarrassing to discover the tray wouldn't fit.
Anyway, here's my point.
If you're on the plus side and you can afford to buy an extra seat on this flight, do it.
If you can avoid this plane and fly an international carrier, even better.
For someone who travels a lot, I found this experience to be horrible.
If you were stuck like I was with limited budget and about a week out of planning time, get some sleeping pills and sleep the entire time to lessen the pain.
Do not know what United is thinking.
Making this a 3-4-3 for Long hauls is not a good idea.
Do not know if I can use them again to Europe.
The service carts barely fit in the isle.
Shoulder to shoulder for 8 hours is not desirable.
If you have a choice do not take this jet.
There is literally no place for your aisle side leg and foot.
The seat supports are oddly spaced in the middle section with large outlets placed at shin level so you cannot move your legs without hitting a seatmate or hard metal.
The Economy Plus seats are only 17 inches wide.
Just what is "premium" about these seats?!
Would definitely avoid this seat in the future.
Took the spot based on other reviews saying the footwell is bigger.
My beef is tgat the attendants use the top Of the front console to stage their service.
I had to remove my oersonal belongings to accommodate these items.
The new Polaris Cabin is outfittewith private pods.
This new business class seat is quite close slot 777 at ua 1st class pods on some United flights.
Sleek design thought of most everything.
Middle seats are separated by a privacy panel.
United continue to up their game!
On the UA 777-300ER, any non-bulkhead economy or economy plus seat E or F has limited underseat storage.
They should all be yellow "Be Aware" seats.
There are pillars almost centered beneath the E or F seat, which would obstruct the placement of any item under the seat.
United’s 777-300 has a 3-4-3 configuration in economy, unlike its 777-200 which has a 3-3-3 configuration making a marginal situation intolerable.
In contrast, Singapore Airlines has the same aircraft in the 3-3-3 configuration.
Row 19 is marked in green in your map.
It should be marked yellow at best since the divider between economy and business restricts leg room even for short people.
Seat 19C is partly in line with the isle passage to business so you can stick your feet into the isle under the curtain, but that is not an acceptable solution.
In general the United 777-300 is to be avoided in economy if at all possible until they reconfigure it in its original 3-3-3 seating arrangement.
Any economy seat on this aircraft is exceedingly uncomfortable 17" width!
Choose another airline who hasn't stooped this low.
If you are in the new Polaris business seat, great for you, but only a midget would be comfortable in any economy or premium economy seat.
Although it is not by any means a comfy seat, I did survive a 12 hours flight.
I’m 6’0 and 250 pounds.
Bulkhead pros: Can extend legs horizontally, although not fully at an angle on the floor such as other seats in E+.
If you are shorter than my height, it would be great as legs can be extended and rests on the bulkhead.
No one in front of you You can exit your seat without affecting the neighbors much, they won’t need to get up to let you out.
Cons: Even more narrow seatbecause of tray in armrest.
I did fit in it but and survived the journey but I cannot call that comfortable.
Smaller person would be better.
Overall, it is what it is.
Don’t expect anything close to spacious and you will survive the journey.
Overall, I'd recommend this seat.
The new configuration is a huge step up from anything else United offers.
This seat has a ton of foot space and has great privacy.
The only time you see anyone is if they are standing at the "snack bar".
You can also store bedding on top of the bassinet in front of the seat during the flight.
There is a slight vibration on the footrest when the toilet flushes.
If a passenger chooses to swing the door open violently it will slam against wall close to the seat.
I would consider this seat "Green".
The added space in the footrest makes up for the minor disturbances from the proximity to the restroom - especially on those long flights.
Wow, this was such a painful trip.
The addition of an extra seat in each row means that two normal sized people can not sit next to each other without one either leaning forward against the tray table or twisting so that their shoulders are not parallel to the seat.
The window seat is now so close to the walls of the aircraft that they literally impede on your shoulder and headspace.
It was beyond agonizing, and seriously unacceptable.
I'm a million miler on UA, but I'll never fly this 3-4-3 setup on a 777 again.
My onward journey on a regional jet was actually significantly more comfortable.
The seats in premium economy on this plane are as narrow and cramped as those you find on a short domestic flight.
There is no shoulder room, there is almost no recline, and there is not much padding.
Avoid these flights if you can, this is unbearable for a long haul flight.
First time flying on the 773.
I was in 2A, and while I do like the new Polaris service across all UA business class, I didn't like the seat.
I'm 6' 3" and 200 lbs.
I barely fit in this seat.
Even the FA was confused at why my tray wouldn't fully extend for meal service.
It's because my legs were too tall.
I had about 2" of room between my knees and the slot 777 casino free table for the entire flight.
Both of my shoulders touched each side of my "open suite" which made it feel like I was in a very tight box.
The footwell has been reworked and doesn't work when in the up-right or lie-flat position for passengers of my height.
I did like the small surface area in each suite for setting drinks, head phones, etc.
And I did like the "Do not disturb" sign.
Overall, because of my size, I wouldn't book the 773 Polaris seat again.
I'd take the 787-8 or the 787-9.
And, I hate to say it, but I'd even book the older 772s over the 773s.
They have tons more room in business.
Much better than the business seats on the 200 series.
Lots of space and really comfortable lie down seats.
Our seats had the partition that can be raised and lowered, which was great.
Down for eating, conversation and up for sleeping.
As for the yellow rating, I disagree.
There was no noise or overbearing light from the bathroom and galley.
Looking forward to cruising on this again.
Seat 24A in this plane and its mirror, 24L, are terrible!
While 24A is, indeed, the https://games-deposit-bonus.website/777-slots/slots-com-777.html seat I've ever sat in on a plane, that part was OK, mostly.
I was even marginally OK with having to jam my legs up against the exit door that removes approx.
This protruding door configuration, however, forces you to continually contact the door with your left leg.
Again, not necessarily a huge deal except that the door was a constant 30 deg.
F for 90% of the 14-hour flight and a slot 777 at ua about the same temperature wafted up to embrace the entire side of my body in an arctic chill.
It was like flying with a freezer pinned against the left side of your body.
Even with wrapping my leg with a coat AND a blanket, my leg and upper left body were freezing for fricking 13 hours!
Whenever I moved in my seat, I inevitably bumped the light or call button on accident.
Spend you money on economy plus elsewhere.
Regular economy is better as well.
I sat on seat 44A.
It hack 777 slots such a loud seat from behind the engine.
I would recommend some noise cancelling headphones for this seat.
My ears were ringing a little bit when I got off the plane.
Other than that it was a standard economy seat.
This seat is at the wing leading edge section.
I think some machinery cause the vibration.
I was supposed to be on a 777-200 but United changed it to a 300ER the day before takeoff.
I loved this plane.
You didn't even feel takeoff or landing and the best part of it all was not having to climb over my seat partner to get out.
Best flight ever but if you're a large person I recommend taking an aisle seat or one where the side bar is on the side of the window since it's a bit of squeeze.
All economy seats are too small, especially for a long flight.
This plane is hell.
Stay away from it.
No elbow room, narrow width, hard seat, arm rests are the width of razor blades.
Wonder if it is as safe as with 9 across??
The last 50-60 people to board can take on NO carry-on because the plane's overheads were meant for 9 across.
This was the 6th time flying on UA's newest 77W and the 1st time flying in Economy on the 77W.
I found the seats to be comfortable and functional.
The only downside was the width of the seat, im not a big person 5'5 and i found it to be a bit tight.
The only real downside to the seat is that people will gather here for the bathroom, other than that i found it to be ok.
The Polaris set up is great.
But 1L is near the galley and the noise, even with the noise cancelling headphones, was remarkably disruptive.
The light was also pretty significant.
I asked the crew to chat quieter but that just shouldn't be needed.
They need a better way to protect that seat.
I had 15G from Newark to San Francisco.
The seat is very comfortable, longer than any comparable seat on a cross country flight in business class.
During takeoff and landing, the distance between you and the person next to you although seperated by a divider is very close.
This is a marginal seat.
The seat is aligned with the wall, rather than the window so shoulder space is very limited The shoilder room on this seart is very narrow.
Because of the window alignment, your shoulder is tight against the fuselage wall, rather than the more open window.
All economy seats need to be yellow.
Terribly narrow and uncomfortable for any long haul.
Do not do it!
Book other carriers if you have to.
United's 3-4-3 on the 77W is especially bad.
If you sit in the middle aisle be prepared to fight for legroom or play footsie.
The foot rest space in seat 1A is larger than the others because of the bulkhead.
However, the flight attendants frequently congregate and chat in the front of the place which made sleeping impossible.
I recently flew from Chicago to San Francisco in United's brand new and refreshed United Polaris Business class in seat 3L, although the flight wasn't full so I moved back to 9L for the last part of the flight.
Great service and product, as always when flying with United.
Seat width only 17".
I guess UNITED prefer revenue rather than LOYALTY.
UA think we are NOT Human but Sardines.
I think it is about time to say good bye to United.
The seat does not recline, but the seat ahead of you does.
There is no overhead bin space it's there, but it's blanked.
It backs onto the toilet and galley area.
There was no window views available.
You are always the last off the plane.
There was no power to the aft galley during my flight, so there was no food or beverage service, so they threw in 5000 points as a sorry note, but that's not enough to get an upgrade or do anything really.
The only seats that are worse is 52E and 52F, as they aren't aisle seats.
The new 10 across format of the 777 is diabolical.
Seats are narrow and firm.
The pockets store very little, and the tray table is too small for anything but a small Chromebook or a Kindle, so don't plan on doing work in this seat, despite power being available.
In typical United fashion, they turned off the lights and closed the blinds during the middle of a day flight, so they could disappear.
There was no service for 4 of our 5.
Possibly the worst flight of my entire 45+ year history of flying.
Strongly recommend against this seat.
The new Polaris seats click the following article this side of the plane in even rows are essentially aisle seats, with access to one window.
The odd rows have seats immediately next to the window with views out two windows and are sheltered from the aisle by the personal storage areas.
United has squeezed another seat in on the 777-300ER, going from 3-3-3-3 to 3-4-3 across the plane.
This makes it feel much more cramped and uncomfortable than their 777-200 aircraft.
The seat itself is also less comfortable than the 777-200, and the headrest wings do not stay in place when you lean your head on them.
The small plus with this particular seat is that you have some extra storage beneath it since it backs onto a toilet.
link found the seat the most uncomfortable seat I 777 slot machine jackpot ever had.
It was hard, no room for one's arm, the under seat space which should have been large enough for my personal item and is on other flights was not big enough.
After the flight I have had serious back pain from the seat.
I do not plan on ever agreeing to fly on that plane and really am having second thoughts about ever flying United again There is a conflict in the report length of this lay flat seat, in the written portion it says 6'-6" then the specification say 78 inches lay flat which is 6"-5", however, I flew in this seat from Narita to San Francisco and my feet were flat against the bulk head and the top of my head rested against the seat back and I am arcade slots 777 free games tall.
Lay flat for 1A should read 75 inches.
Seat 19A, although with extra leg room is a narrow seat as described.
I wear a 42" jacket so if you have this width shoulder it feels narrow.
I would not pay extra again for economy plus if it is just a little extra legroom.
Miserable seats, especially for a 13+ hour flight.
You will feel everything the person behind you tries to stuff in the seat pocket.
I found the seats on my United Express flight more comfortable.
I also found that being in rows 19 thru 21 have less traffic due to the placement of the toilet.
Excellent seat with full recline.
Storage under seat in front of you as well as under this seat no seat behind it.
Toilet entrance is not in the aisle -- it faces the galley.
Contrary to the link seat' indication there is plenty of overhead storage.
These 2 rows of 2 seats are fantastic as compared to the rest of economy class.
In addition to being narrower, the seat supports on the center four seats are not aligned with the seats in front.
There are only four supports for the row of four seats in front, rather than five.
In the E and F seats, you will not have enough room to but anything but a tiny bag under your seat, and you may not have room for your feet if your neighbor in D or G uses the extra space that they get with this arrangement.
Plus, there are two electrical outlets for every four seats, which is pretty stingy.
This seat has slightly reduced storage for the seat in front of you and almost no storage under the seat Although this seat is in the last row of business class before economy section, i did not experience any noise from economy.
Seats were generally comfortably, but there is not a lot of room near your head when the seat is in lie flat position this is not unique to this specific seat.
It doesnt require a physics degree to realize that 10-across 17-inch seats are a bad bad idea.
While the bulkhead row is better for lefroom, its still hell for anyone larger than a 10-year-old.
If you live in SF fly to LA and take UA 33.
Its a 787-9 with only 9 across.
Worth the extra 2 hours.
The economy section is miserable apologise, wheel hot 777 slot machine apologise 10 across seating.
In an aisle seat, I was constantly knocked by people passing and food carts.
If you have a bag under the seat there is no place for feet.
You are shoulder to shoulder with the person slots xtreme 777 to you.
If the person is large, they are in your seat as well.
Avoid it if possible.
The new 77W is great for Polaris but should be avoided even in Economy Plus.
The aisles are so tight that only 1 person at a time can get by.
Trying to get done the aisle when people are sleeping with their legs in the aisles is all but impossible.
They added only one bathroom which are much smaller for a 100 more passengers.
In addition the United crew doesn't compare to the old Continental crews.
All of the lie flat seats that angle toward the aisle instead of being straight next to the window are less desirable these scenes alternate every other row -- one points to the aisle, the next is flush against the window, then next points into the aisle, etc.
In these seats that point to the aisle, you're just looking into the aisle at the other seats the whole flight -- there's no privacy, and an awkward view, and if you want to see out the window you have to twist around awkwardly.
Of all these seats, 8A is particularly bad because the galley is directly next to the seat -- it's a very active galley given the huge size of the plane, so it's very disruptive.
The best seats are those farther from the galley that are flush against the windows which gives so much more privacy - like their own room rather than those that point out toward the aisle.
Every seat in economy and economy plus on this aircraft should be red.
The seat width is too narrow for people over age 12, and the flight attendant call button in the armrest is too easy to hit.
United tries to sell this plane as "new and improved", but anyone in either Economy or Economy Plus suffers horribly.
The new 3-4-3 layout is terrible, both because the seats are simply too narrow you are constantly bumping into and pushing against your neighbor and because the aisle is too narrow.
To add insult to injury, UA has cut too slot 777 at ua, so you now have nearly the same number of passengers 306 using two fewer toilets 6 total.
Finally, they have cut two crew members, so the crew is stressed and overworked, with insufficient break time.
On a 12-hour flight HKG-SFOit really is brutal for everyone on this "new and improved" 777.
Good seat, a whole upper-head bin for yourself and overall feels isolated except from the seat in front.
If I had to choose I'd prefer Business class in the Dreamliner, these sits feel cramped compared.
One downside is the tray table, it moves a lot and is so low almost hit the knees.
If you travel in couples choose odd rows 1, 3, 5.
I was assigned the absolute worst seat in Polaris, 8L, 8A would be equally horrible.
If you have not been on the plane, 8L is directly across the narrow aisle from the main galley.
This made sleep impossible, even with earplugs.
The seats are very comfortable when seated and reclined.
Laying flat was a different story.
The foot well is so narrow that you are forced to cross your legs if you want to extend them straight, when laying on your back.
If you are on your side I could only straighten one leg because only one foot would fit in.
Size 11 shoe Seat 24 J Economy Plus: Extra legroom the only plus.
Could hear every flush of toilet.
Sometimes there was an odor from lavatory.
New leather seat as hard as a rock.
Flew in 9A EWR-SFO.
The proximity of the lav is not bothersome; on occasion, you can hear the toilet flush, it's not loud and the fact that you are right by the accessible bathroom means there is tons of room in this particular lav.
The seat itself is comfortable and incredibly private; you literally cannot see any other passengers while seated.
Polaris seats are narrow and the ergonomics of the cube have been badly designed.
Foot well is angled so have to cross your feet and can't lie article source />Knee jammed against the table and side of the cube.
Stuff slides off the side table.
It might look good but doesnt perform.
You are squashed in next to your neighbour and basically cant move.
UA's plan is to fly this plan on long haul 14 hour flights but the seats are narrower than the width of an average person.
I would highly recommend avoiding these planes if flying coach.
Shame on you United.
Just flew from sfo-ewr.
The new poloaris seats are a huge improvement to the old diamond bf seats, more storage space and personal space.
Pros: Improved comfort Legroom Privacy windowseat Tray table can be moved foward and away from you if you to get up AVOD is extremely respsonsive Cons: Thus seat is close to the galley, so noise might be an issue for some Getting in and out might be difficult for larger people Flatbed button is ina bad place.
Knee height, so you might bump ot and recline the seat.
Overall, design and comort is a huge improvement 4.
Not worth the extra money to sit here.
The aisle is so narrow you should expect to be bumped a lot.
The economy plus section in front of this is a much better choice since it has much less through traffic.
The space under the seat in front of this seat is limited by equipment and is laid out inconsistently so the seat next to this shares the space.
Also the air vents are unreachable - so the temp ran either very warm or really cold.
This is an economy plus window seat, except that there is no window and its the narrowest seat on the plane.
This awful seat is a premium economy window seat.
Except that there is no window and it's smaller than other seats.
Worst seat on the plane.
A big improvement over the standard lie-flat United business class seat.
The seat is plenty long and wider, making sleeping in particular more comfortable.
You feel much less cramped.
I would describe it as between the size of the older business class and first class seats.
The major improvements: - width and length - Media screen.
Placement is closer to your head, and the screen quality is closer to HD.
Touch screen is accurate and responsive - foot storage easily takes a laptop bag, so no need to put overhead - outer arm rest is height adjustable.
This was one of the benefits if the old first class.
You could raise or lower the height to fit your size and degree of recline.
Unfortunately, the inner arm rest does not adjust.
There is a small cabinet for storing small items, as well as small storage near the arm rests - no gaps.
I didnt see places I could lose my phone if it fell in a gap.
In the older lie flats, I have had my phone slip out and under the seat or into the seat mechanicals - charging works.
There are TWO usb charging ports and the 120 volt plug works.
I had a lot of problems with older planes - middle aisle seats have movable barriers.
Or leave it up, if not so loved.
How this matters relates to the windows and your flat table stand.
If you are on either window side, if you have a seat that is adjacent the aisle, you can't really look out the window easily.
Your window is kinda far, like you would be in a traditional aisle seat in economy.
It is a bit of a reach, even, to close the shades.
If you have a recessed seat, you are immediately next to the window.
Regarding the table, each seat has a flat table where you can put things, including beverages or a tablet, etc.
In a recessed seat, your table is conveniently in front of you, either on the left or the right.
In an aisle-adjacent seat, the table is next to your shoulder and slightly behind you.
That makes things like picking up a cup if coffee take a bit flexibility.
Overall, the recessed seat is more private and convenient.
From the time they started serving the meal, it took about 45 minutes to get my meal to me.
The staff was professional, but harried.
This seat is also next to the seal on the exit door and there is a constant flow of very cold outside air blowing directly on the passenger's leg.
An airline blanket is not enough to keep the cold air out, you will need something more substantial.
These seats are tiny.
Yes, you get extra legroom but both Economy and Economy Plus have an extra seat crammed into each row.
What used to be nine abreast is now ten abreast.
Do not take a long flight anywhere in economy unless you are narrow person.
